Nazareth Housing was proud to partner with the Bronx Community Foundation (BxCF) as part of its 2026 Day of Collective Action and Giving on March 21, an annual initiative bringing together Bronx residents, community leaders, organizations, and supporters to invest in the borough and the people who call it home.
During the event, Bronx Community Foundation Executive Director LaToya Williams-Belfort presented Nazareth Housing Executive Director Rachel Levine with a $7,500 grant to support Louise’s Pantry, helping us continue providing Bronx individuals and families with access to fresh, nutritious food and other essential resources.
The partnership also helped address another important need: access to technology. Through a grant from the Bronx Community Foundation, members of the Nazareth Housing community received laptop computers, providing crucial support for our clientele in the Bronx.
The support was part of the Bronx Community Foundation’s broader Day of Collective Action and Giving, which brought together hundreds of students, parents, community leaders, public officials, and other supporters. More than $100,000 was invested in six Bronx community-based organizations, and more than 200 laptops were distributed to Bronx students as part of the Foundation’s efforts to advance digital equity and strengthen long-term investment in the borough.
Partnerships like this expand Nazareth Housing’s ability to meet the evolving needs of the individuals and families we serve. From access to nutritious food to the technology needed to learn, work, and stay connected, these resources can make a meaningful difference in helping families build greater stability.
We are grateful to the Bronx Community Foundation for its investment in our Bronx community and its commitment to creating opportunities for Bronx residents to grow and thrive.
