Back-to-school season is an exciting time, but the cost of backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials can put added strain on a family’s budget. At Nazareth Housing, we’re committed to helping our clients navigate moments of financial hardship throughout the year so they can focus on what matters most: housing stability.
On August 11, our St. Anselm team helped supportive housing tenants get ready for the new school year with an amazing Back-to-School Backpack & School Supply Giveaway and pizza party!
Children picked out backpacks in their favorite colors and received school supplies and goodie bags filled with healthy snacks. Families also enjoyed pizza, popcorn, music, and time together as we celebrated the start of another school year.
A special thanks to Rachel Levine, Executive Director; Mary Beth Hogan, President of the Board of Directors; Mildred Perez, Chief Program Officer; and Reilly Harrington, Special Assistant to the Executive Director, for helping set up, hand out backpacks, and spend time connecting with our tenants and their families.
Not only did we get to connect with our St. Anselm tenants and their families, but we also had the opportunity to remind them of something important as they head into a new school year: we’re here for them.
